Bold and stubborn: The experience of Agroecological Notebooks and the new challenges for Technical Assistance and Rural Extension in Bahia, Brazil

The construction of experiences in which rural women are the protagonists comprises conflicting processes, since the patriarchal culture denies them this place and reiterates violent practices of invisibility and devaluation of their experiences. Access to public policies that make it possible to understand and strengthen rural women as a political subject promotes other dynamics of social life. Thus, this work presents the analysis of the use of agroecological notebooks (CAs), as an innovation in the technical advisory actions of the Pró-Semiárido Project (PSA/BA). The CA is a tool that makes it possible to qualify the Technical Assistance and Rural Extension (ATER) action, which requires a new institutional culture from organizations and transformations in the lives of rural women. Its use enables the construction of a process of strengthening autonomy and reflection on the importance of productive and reproductive work and contributes to breaking with inequalities that mark their lives and reduces their work as mere help.

Manifest Psychic disorders in Patients with Chemical Dependence: Review of Narratives

INTRODUCTION: The abusive use of psychotropic drugs today is increasingly linked to mental disorders. In addition, the problem fits as one of the biggest public health problems. However, there is a low acceptance of drug users in considering that this chemical dependence is directly involved with psychiatric disorders, and that they cause serious consequences for themselves and for the community, making it necessary to have a more focused look at policies. rehabilitation of users and the treatment of psychic disorders resulting from drug use. OBJECTIVE: To analyze how psychiatric disorders influence the lives of patients who are chemically dependent, in order to establish the main disorders related to drug users, addressing aspects of this health/disease process and emphasizing the need for treatment according to each particularity. METHODOLOGY: research based on the review of narratives, with emphasis on the psychiatric disorders identified in patients who are in the process of rehabilitation due to drug use. EXPECTED RESULTS: elaboration of the theoretical framework on the topic; identification and description of psychic disorders in patients who were ex-drug users, expanding the debate on the topic through the publication of an article.

Bitcoin Measurement in Accounting: A Theoretical Analysis

Coins appeared many centuries ago with the goal of facilitating the exchange of objects between people, but this means of exchange fell out of the hands of states that had control over their currencies mid-2008, until a new type of currency appeared, the first safe and functional cryptocurrency that did not need to have any government intervening, Bitcoin, a decentralized cryptocurrency that has a manufacturing limit and is becoming increasingly relevant in the current scenario. Accounting in turn has a new challenge of measuring and identifying the new asset in a way that best fits its classification. This paper aims to make a comparison between other scientific papers related to the measurement of the Bitcoin cryptocurrency to obtain a better understanding of how the topic is being addressed. It was concluded that standardization for the registration of these assets is indispensable, and that the main difficulty concerns encountered the reference for quotation in reais and the comparability of information. It is possible to consider that financial operations with cryptocurrencies are similar to operations with foreign currency. The analysis is made assuming the need for classification of Bitcoin and similar assets.

Youth and adult education in Brazil: The challenges of an invisible education

This essay's premise was to discuss the government policies that guided Youth and Adult Education in Brazil, covering the period from 1988 to 2006. The dialogue was carried out from a chronology of events that were not deepened in their theoretical dimension. -practice, but they served as subsidies to reflect the advances and setbacks that this type of education suffered over 18 years, through the governments of Fernando Collor de Mello, Itamar Franco, Fernando Henrique Cardoso and Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva. By inference, it was reached the understanding that although the government of President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva recognizes the right of young people and adults to have access to quality schooling, aimed at the expectations of this public, it is necessary to continue public policies that transgress any and all manifestations of inequality, which represents an immense challenge, not being enough to increase the offer of this schooling, but the assumption of a collective political conscience that subverts the reactionary ideals that stigmatize this type of education as secondary or of lesser importance. in the Brazilian educational context.

Late diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD): Repercussions and challenges encountered in adolescence and adulthood

Abstract— Autism Spectrum Disorder is characterized by disturbances in language and social interaction, in addition to restricted and repetitive interests and behaviors. Generally, the first signs may appear in the first year of life and bring with it many difficulties, which require professional monitoring for patients and their families. However, although there are policies for early screening of Autism Spectrum Disorder in several countries, their success is not always guaranteed, causing diagnosis and treatments not to occur in childhood, which, regardless of the degree of the spectrum in that the subject finds himself, brings difficulties for him and those of his acquaintance. This study aims to analyze the main challenges faced by autistic people in adolescence and adulthood. According to the bibliographic survey, the biggest challenges encountered are based on the lack of knowledge of health professionals about the disorder, resulting in late identification and diagnosis and, consequently, a delay in therapeutic intervention.

Use of benzodiazepines and the risk of falls in the elderly

The aging of the world population increases every year, this process leads to the decline of physiological functions that can lead to various diseases and, consequently, the use of more medicines by the elderly public. However, the consumption of drugs can cause some undesirable problems that are sometimes not correlated with their use, such as the increased risk of falls resulting from the use of benzodiazepines. In this context, the study aimed to investigate the relationship between the use of benzodiazepines and the increase in falls in the elderly. To this end, a literature review was carried out in the Google Scholar, VHL, Scielo, PubMed, Medline and LILACS databases, selecting works in Portuguese and English published between 2011 and 2021. 7 articles were selected, 5 with Brazilian research , 1 in Japan and 1 in the Middle East. The results showed that the use of this class of drugs requires caution, especially in the elderly, as they may remain in the body longer, favoring the increase in side effects and falls, even in a hospital environment. Thus, a better assessment of the risk/benefit of the drug is suggested and, when its use is necessary, preference should be given to short-acting drugs. Thus, it is understood the importance of carrying out a good evaluation and monitoring of the elderly who use this type of medication, in order to guarantee a better quality of life, without extensive complications arising from falls and falls due to the use of medications.

Early diagnosis of rare syndromes: Integrative review

Some syndromes are classified as rare by the low frequency with which they occur in the population and are characterized by a specific set of signs and symptoms, of genetic cause, due to an abnormality involving one or more chromosomes or genes (mutation), which can be by alterations, deletion, duplication in nitrogenous bases, among others. However, affected people do not always receive an early diagnosis and, in addition, there are few therapeutic options and scientific research in this area is rare. This study is an integrative literature review (ILR) that is based on scientific findings in order to identify and understand problems, situations and vulnerabilities related to the population. The studies were published in the years 2018, 2019, 2020 and 2021, being the equivalent of 14.29% in the year 2018, 28.57% in the year 2019, 14.29% in the year 2020 and about 42, 86% in the year 2021. Therefore, 25.00% of the studies were in France, 12.50% in Brazil, 12.50% in the United States, 12.50% in Germany, 12.50% in the Netherlands and Spain respectively. Thus, the contents of the research found referred to the early diagnosis of rare syndromes.

Effects of low birth weight on lung function in children and adolescents: A review

In this study, we aimed to carry out an integrative review of studies that assessed the effects of low birth weight on pulmonary function in children and adolescents. A total of 18 out of 64 retrieved articles were included in this review. The sample size totaled 3,409 children and adolescents distributed into case and control groups. Spirometric assessment was held at ages ranging from 5 to 18 years. In three studies, assessments were performed more than once at different ages. Most studies were carried out in Europe. In all studies, at least one of the spirometric measurements was reduced, with end-expiratory volume in one second being the most frequent. Low birth weight appears to negatively influence lung function in children and adolescents, and the effects of this impairment may be long-lasting and persist through other stages of life.

On Primary Health Care and Teaching literacy: Science and Education Professionals in Training

This research aimed to discuss, scientifically, about Primary Health Care and Teaching Literacy, reflecting on science and education professionals in training, both initial and continued. Not only from biopolitical perspective lenses (FOUCAULT, 2002), our analyses gain corporality when we resort to the need that these health professionals (doctors, nurses, physiotherapists, health agents, speech therapists, etc.) and education (teachers, pedagogues, psychopedagogues) are in constant training processes. We understand that there is a need for training for these professionals, and the ideal is that there are restructurings and resignifications through literacy techniques tied to new educational technologies. Thus, the objective of our work is to discuss how training and training processes for health and education professionals are essential to improve the execution of their practices, in addition to contributing to the refiguration of training materials from ministries (Health [HS] and Education [MEC]). Therefore, we present strategies to enhance the practice of these professionals aiming for excellence in the spheres of work.

Scope of Error Analysis in English written texts of ESL Students- A Case Study

Of all the language skills, writing is the most difficult skill for the students who learn English as a second language because they have less experience with written expression. In this research paper, efforts have been made to prove the relevance of error analysis in the English writing skills of the Intermediate Level students. To conduct the research, a random written sample of a Class XII student of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Navsari, Gujarat, has been taken up. Errors in the written text have been categorized using the theory provided by Dulay, Burt, and Krashen (1982, pp.146). The need of this research arose after looking into the writing errors made by the JNV students of Intermediate Level, where English is taught and learned as a Second Language. The intent is to prove how error analysis can help to possibly identify sources of errors in learners’ writing; categorize the errors, and try to present a method for correction and improve the writing skills of the students. This study can be of great help to the English teachers of JNVs that were established in 1986 to bring out the best of Indian rural talent; to improve upon the writing skills of their students.

The use of Educational Technologies in the Guidance of Self-Care of Stomized Patients

This is a descriptive study with a qualitative approach, carried out through a literature review. The aim of the study was to address the use of educational technologies in self-care guidance for ostomy patients. As a method, twelve scientific articles were used, published between 2016 and 2021 on scientific websites and platforms. The results showed that an educational technology aimed at guiding people with an ostomy is important due to the changes that occur after the ostomy and that the use of technologies during educational actions is seen as a tool that complements the process of knowledge construction for care and o taking care of oneself, qualifying interventions in health practice with people with stoma and their families. Health professionals play the role of educators and must participate in the process of elaboration, development and evaluation of the need to implement educational technologies with ostomy patients and their families.

Evaluation of the Influence of the type of Irrigating Solutions in Postoperative Pain and Regression of Perirradicular Injury in Teeth Obtained in Single Session and Single Cone – Clinical Case Study

Endodontic treatment aims at the chemical and mechanical preparation of a dental element that has inflammation or pulp necrosis. During endodontic intervention, postoperative pain may develop, as well as difficulty in the regression of the periradicular lesion. Given the context, the present work is a clinical case report with the objective of evaluating whether the type of irrigating solution used in the endodontic treatment of filled teeth in a single session and single cone influences the postoperative symptomatology and regression of the periradicular lesion. This is a clinical, exploratory, qualitative and descriptive case study, where 2 patients were treated. They were divided into two groups: G1 (n:01) (irrigation with 2.5% sodium hypochlorite) and G2 (n:01) (irrigation with 2% chlorhexidine gel and saline). All dental elements were anesthetized, access surgeries were performed, initial exploration with K file # 10 or 15 was performed until the apparent length of the tooth. Instrumentation technique was performed with hand files and confirmation of working length through Root foraminal locator. Final irrigation was performed with 3 ml of 17% EDTA. The canals were dried with capillary tips, attached to a high-power suction device and with absorbent paper cones and filled, in the same session, by the Tagger Hybrid technique and restored with composite resin. Patients were followed for a period of 24h, 48h, 2, 3 and 6 months for postoperative pain assessment and periradicular lesion regression. Through the results obtained, it was noted that although both irrigating solutions are effective, it was observed that 2.5% sodium hypochlorite caused grade 3 pain according to the patient's pain scale during the first 24 hours, compared with 2% chlorhexidine gel, which had no painful symptoms at any time after completion of treatment and follow-up. In conclusion, in this study, 2.5% sodium hypochlorite may cause more postoperative pain compared to 2% chlorhexidine gel, but there was no significant difference in pain levels between the groups.

Civil actions for the collection of delinquent taxes and the tax authorities’ duty to reimburse taxpayers for surety bond or bank guarantee expenses when they lose the lawsuit

This article aims to analyze whether tax authorities should be ordered to reimburse taxpayers for the expenses related to obtaining and maintaining surety bonds or bank guarantees when they lose civil actions for the collection of delinquent taxes. To that end, we looked into court precedents to identify not only the statutory provisions that apply to the subject matter, but mainly how such provisions have been interpreted and enforced by the courts, as well as the legal arguments used by taxpayers and tax authorities alike. The pivotal question in this discussion, as the result of our research showed, is whether or not obtaining such guarantees is optional, and this article seeks to analyze it through a systematic interpretation of positive law, as well as elements of philosophy of law. The conclusion of such analysis is that, although these types of guarantees are optional, tax authorities that lose a civil action for the collection of delinquent taxes must reimburse taxpayers for the expenses related to such guarantees.

Analysis of the Epidemiological Profile of Syphilis Cases in the Caxias do Maranhão Macro-region from 2019 to 2021

Syphilis is a systemic infection currently recognized as a public health problem, according to the WHO, with high prevalence, despite simple and effective treatment. The objective of this study was to analyze data referring to the epidemiological profile of cases of syphilis acquired in the macro-region of Caxias, state of Maranhão, from 2019 to 2021. This is a descriptive and quantitative study of reported cases of syphilis acquired in the municipality, including a population composed of all notified cases of acquired syphilis, with data obtained from a public domain database. The study variables were: sociodemographic (age group, education, skin color and place of residence), diagnosis, treatment (appropriate, inadequate, not performed or ignored) and the evolution of the cases. A relationship was observed between growth in the number of cases and low socioeconomic development index. There was also a higher prevalence in patients with low education and people of mixed race. Therefore, the need for more public health actions aimed at the most vulnerable population is evident, with the aim of effectively controlling and, consequently, eradicating the disease.

The use of medicinal plants for the treatment of chronic-degenerative diseases is an attractive alternative to traditional pharmaceutical drugs, the supply of this type of plants is given in most cases by harvesting in the wild. Hence, the information available on hydroponic production for these plant inputs is still scarce. Therefore, the objective was to evaluate the growth of estafiate (Artemisia ludoviciana ) and chicken grass (Tradescantia zebrina ) produced hydroponically under greenhouse conditions. For which a treatment and a control were managed, the first by means of hydroponics (inorganic substrate and nutritive solution) and the second was the control by means of conventional production (organic substrate without nutritive solution). The experimental design was completely randomized with five replications per treatment. It was statistically demonstrated that hydroponic production positively affected plant growth. In estafiate the height increased by 31.4%, while for the chicken grass this increase was 28% with respect to the control, the variables of dry and fresh weight followed a similar trend, being favored by the hydroponic treatment with respect to the control.

Physiotherapeutic performance in the treatment of anterior cruciate ligament injuries in soccer athletes

Among the significant injuries developed by soccer athletes, the knee injury is the most frequent, accentuating the ACL that are usually more injured and can cause the player to leave the sport due to the appearance of probable difficulties in intangibility and purpose of the athletes knee joint. To determine the functional kinetic diagnosis, analysis performed by a physical therapist should be the first step. In this way, a construction of the therapeutic plan should be made related to the patient's own and specific needs and instances. If a patient is suspected of having ACL (anterior cruciate ligament injury), it is necessary that, throughout the evaluation of the case, the physical therapist involves his attention in the patient's history in relation to the description of the possible mechanism of injury through the history. . Football athletes who play professionally undergo an intensive number of training sessions and games throughout the year. The great exposure can cause an intensification of the occurrence of injuries, causing the wear of physical health, weakening the sports performance and the career of the players. Therefore, the aim of the present study was to discuss the role of physical therapy intervention in the treatment of anterior cruciate ligament injury, highlighting, above all, the incidence of injury in soccer players. For this, a bibliographic survey was carried out on the proposed theme, using SciELO, PubMed, PEDro, Google Scholar as a database, with a search for the descriptors: Rehabilitation, Anterior Cruciate Ligament, Professional Football, Physiotherapy and Sports Injury, with research carried out both in Portuguese and in English, prioritizing articles between the years 2012 and 2022. In this way, scientific articles were obtained as results that positively prove the effectiveness of the physical therapy approach in the sports field. Therefore, physiotherapy participates in both prevention and rehabilitation of the patient, thus improving muscle function, reducing pain and returning to sports activities.

Brazilian Indigenous Pregnant Women: Relationship between Prenatal assistance and the Numbers of normal and c-sections between 2010 and 2019

We sought to verify the performance of prenatal care by indigenous pregnant women and the numbers of vaginal and cesarean deliveries in Rio Grande do Sul in relation to Brazil, from 2010 to 2019. Based on ecological or correlation studies, it was carried out if the searches in the free access database of DATASUS, carried out between December 01 and 15, 2021 in the aforementioned system, being researched on the numbers of vaginais deliveries and cesarean sections among indigenous and non-indigenous pregnant women in Brazil and in the state from Rio Grande do Sul for a time span of ten years - 2010 to 2019. For the analysis, it used the quantitative and qualitative descriptive analysis technique. As main results, it was evidenced that indigenous women perform more normal deliveries, when compared to non-indigenous pregnant women. Cultural factors and distances from health centers may be a factor that corroborates the data found. Another point worth mentioning about the findings refers to: although the number of normal births in indigenous people is greater, we still need to move forward to obtain the recommendation.

Physical-Equation Search: proposal of an educational writing game as a tool to support the study of Kinematics

Teaching and the way of teaching undergo constant changes. Educational games can be great allies in the teaching-learning process, but each one of them has a specific application, which is an important factor in choosing a material for use in the classroom. In Science and Physics teaching, one of the great difficulties encountered by Elementary and High School students comes from the use of equations, and there are few educational games in these directions. In this work, an educational game called Physical-Equation Search is proposed, which is based on the word search. Its purpose is the formation of equations about certain content. It is formed by a table with quantities and mathematical symbols, with sequences that can be given horizontally, vertically or transversally, being simple to make and with easy to understand rules, and can even be reused in various contents. The Physical-Equation Search is a tool to help develop memory and critical thinking about equations, in addition to creating situations that deviate from the traditional method when using play as a didactic device.

Volume of natural gas released into the atmosphere in leakage situations - Review and analysis

The natural gas leakage rate plays an important factor in simulating leaks in gas transportation and distribution pipelines. The method for leakage rate calculation involves identifying the geometry and type of leak opening, associated with the application of the theories of thermodynamics and gas dynamics, as well as energy conservation equations. In this article, a review and analysis of the flow of gas released into the atmosphere in cases of accidents of this nature is carried out. Such a situation is critical, given that certain leaks can create very extensive danger zones around the immediate vicinity of the leak point.

Tax burden and tax evasion in Brazil

The study analyzed the relationship between the Brazilian tax burden and the country's level of evasion. The basis for the research stems from the fact that Brazil is considered a country whose tax burden is high and this would influence its level of evasion. However, there are international studies that have not identified significance in this relationship and, in the Brazilian case, despite being a widely discussed topic, the literature is incipient in testing this interaction. In view of this gap, the multiple linear regression method was used, based on data from the period from 2005 to 2015. The results showed that, in the Brazilian case, the tax burden presented statistical significance related to tax evasion, confirming the theoretical assumptions used. The present research also suggests that the Theory of Equity can be useful in improving the understanding of tax evasion behavior and the possibility of comparison with international studies.

The focus of research on private supplementary tutoring in China in the past two decades

In recent years, private supplementary tutoring has developed rapidly, and its market size has expanded rapidly, which has attracted widespread attention from researchers in the fields of politics, economy, and education at home and abroad. This study uses the knowledge graph system provided by CiteSpace software to sort out 149 related literature on private supplementary tutoring research in China from 2000 to 2021 included in the Web of Science. The study found that "private tutoring theory", "private tutoring and educational equity", "private tutoring institutions", "private tutoring policy", "private tutoring and family capital", and "private tutoring and public education" is a research hotspot in this field in China in the past two decades. Private supplementary tutoring research in China started late, and the research paradigm is different from that of international research, and the research methods used are relatively simple. On the theoretical basis, the theoretical research on private supplementary tutoring is relatively weak and has not yet formed a complete system.

Enzymatic Saccharification of Sugarcane Bagasse Using Ash - Supplemented Hydrogen Peroxide as Pre-Treatment

Purpose: Enzymatic saccharification of sugarcane bagasse with cellulases was investigated after hydrogen peroxide pretreatment. Methods: Two pretreatments, alkaline hydrogen peroxide and hydrogen peroxide supplemented with ash were compared in their performance in the improvement of the susceptibility of bagasse to enzymatic action. The reaction yield was evaluated by the reducing sugar content released from the pretreated bagasse after 48 hours of enzymatic hydrolysis, and the best condition was found for both treatments. Results: The yield, expressed in reducing sugars for the alkaline hydrogen peroxide pretreatment was 217.6 mg g-1 bagasse, and 179.9 mg g-1 bagasse for hydrogen peroxide ash pretreatment; the untreated bagasse provided 74.3 mg g-1 bagasse yield, showing the effectiveness of the two pretreatments. Conclusion: The pretreatment with hydrogen peroxide supplemented with ashes appears more feasible for implementation since alkali addition in the pretreatment delivers many caustic residues that need expensive washing process and generate aggressive effluents into the environment; besides alkali addition promotes partial degradation of hemicellulose.

Analysis of Judicial Health Claims in the Municipality of CATALÃO/GO (2020-2022)

The purpose of this article is to analyze the judicialization of health in the Municipality of Catalão/GO in the 2020/2022 biennium. An original study was carried out, by a previously trained researcher and in double conference, with a qualitative approach, using bibliographic and documentary analysis from files in the public domain, available electronically on the websites of public agencies. Fifty-six processes were selected. It was found that the predominant actions refer to individual writs of mandamus filed by the Public Ministry, to requests from women aged between 38 and 57 years, with non-standardized medicines in the National List of Essential Medicines (RENAME) being the most requested object. The realization of rights generates social and financial costs. The taxes created to promote public policies are insufficient for the realization of rights, especially health, which collapsed during the pandemic triggered by Covid-19. Thus, the principle of reserve of the possible, imported from European law and modified when inserted in Brazilian doctrine, must be used with balance and guaranteeing minimum conditions of survival and human dignity, under penalty of offending the Federal Constitution.

Drill Sealing, Endodontic Retreatment and Fixed Prosthesis Installation in a Lower Molar - Clinical Case Study

The access ionization attempt may occur during the coronary period, which may lead to a posterior dental access. The maintenance of the primary tooth is important, especially in cases of permanent tooth agenesis. The aim of this study is to report a clinical case about perforation sealing, endodontic retreatment, and installation of a fixed prosthesis in a lower molar. A patient was selected from the dental clinic of Fapac/Itpac Porto Nacional - TO, asymptomatic, negative sensitivity test and vertical percussion, need for retreatment and perforation in the furcation region. In the first session, anesthesia, access surgery, absolute isolation, irrigation with 2% chlorhexidine gel, identification of the perforation and its conditioning, odontometry, removal of gutta percha with rotary instruments (Logic RT system), drying and insertion of intracanal medication (calcium hydroxide) in root canals and perforation. In the second session (after 15 days), the intracanal medication was removed and the root canals were filled with gutta percha and plasticized technique, and the perforation was sealed with mineral trioxide aggregate (MTA). The clinical case was continued for 2 years, and during the follow-up, asymptomatic, periodontal tissues were clinically and radiographically normal and the dental element performed its masticatory functions satisfactorily. It is possible to conclude with this clinical case that even with a perforation in the furcation region and the need to insert a prosthetic rehabilitation in the dental element, the sealing of the perforation with the aggregate mineral trioxide allowed the maintenance of the dental element.

Spatial distribution and epidemiological profile of leprosy cases in Brazil between 2012 and 2021

Abstract— Leprosy is a chronic infectious disease considered one of the oldest diseases in history, which mainly affects the skin and peripheral nerves. In Brazil, there is a need to evaluate and characterize the number of leprosy cases, as well as their distribution throughout the national territory. Thus, the present study aimed to carry out an analysis of the spatial distribution and trace the epidemiological profile of leprosy cases in Brazil between the years 2012 and 2021. For this, data available in the Sistema de Informação de Agravos de Notificação (SINAN) were collected and analyzed. The variables evaluated were: Gender, Age group (years), race, education, Type of Output, Classification of leprosy and clinical form. The most affected individuals were men (56.92%), aged between 40 and 59 years (37.68%), mixed race/color (57.89%) and elementary school (48.66%). The states of Maranhão, Mato Grosso and Pará had the highest numbers of leprosy cases in Brazil. Fortunately, most patients have progressed to a cure. Based on the clinical form, there was a predominance of the Dimorphic form, followed by the Virchowian form. In turn, in relation to operational classification, most cases were classified as multibacillary. In conclusion, we emphasize that future studies are needed to assess the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on SINAN notifications and confirm whether the reduction in leprosy cases in Brazil is the result of better public policies or due to underreporting. We also present valuable information from states and strategic groups for health campaigns aimed at combating leprosy.

Endodontic Treatment of a Deducted Lower Molar with Forca Injury, Root Reabsortion and Permanent Premolar Agenesis – Clinical Case Study

When the pathological process affects the dental pulp of the deciduous dental element and causes pulp inflammation or infection, endodontic treatment is indicated. The maintenance of the primary tooth is important, especially in cases of permanent tooth agenesis. The aim of this study is to report a clinical case about the endodontic treatment of a deciduous lower molar with furcation lesion, root resorption and permanent premolar agenesis. A patient was selected at the dental clinic of FAPAC/ITPAC (Porto Nacional) – TO, asymptomatic, negative sensitivity test and vertical percussion, incomplete root formation, radiolucent area in the furcation region in a deciduous lower molar and root resorption. In the first session, anesthesia, access surgery, absolute isolation, irrigation with 2.5% sodium hypochlorite, odontometry, instrumentation with K-files at working length, drying and insertion of intracanal medication (calcium hydroxide) were performed. In the second session (after 15 days), the intracanal medication was removed and the root canals were filled with mineral trioxide aggregate (MTA). Through the results obtained with the endodontic treatment, regression of the pathological process was noted during the proservations and the patient had no symptoms. Endodontic treatment in a primary first molar with a diagnosis of acute periradicular abscess is feasible for the conservation of the primary tooth. In this way, the absent permanent dental element performs its functions.

Natural and organic cosmetics: Beneficial properties for the environment and health

Currently, the use of natural and organic cosmetics in the personal care, perfumery and cosmetics market is increasing. This is related to the current environmental scenery, in which consumers are becoming aware of the importance of using products that do not cause damage to the environment and health. The present work aimed to address natural and organic cosmetics, reporting the main characteristics of these products and some of the main components used. A bibliographic survey was carried out in databases, seeking scientific articles preferably updated, using the following descriptors: green consumers, natural cosmetics, organic cosmetics, sustainable packaging and sustainability. The results obtained showed that there is a great tendency of consumers to prefer natural and organic cosmetics, which has been caused by concern for their health and the environment, in addition to the influence of the media, influence of the media and entities that raise awareness about environmental, social and ecological issues. The components most commonly used in such cosmetics are of plant origin, can be used in different formulations for different purposes, in addition to presenting several health benefits and lower environmental impact. The present research can contribute to the awareness and greater knowledge about natural and organic cosmetics, so that this reflects in an increase in the demand for sustainable products by consumers themselves.

An Analysis of Urban Noise and its Impacts - Case Study

Noise is generally an unwanted sound or a sound that produces unpleasant effects and causes discomfort to the ears. Sound becomes undesirable when it interferes with normal activities such as sleeping, talking, or when it interrupts or decreases quality of life. Not every noise can be called pollution, especially if it doesn't happen regularly. Urban areas generally have more unpleasant acoustic frequencies to the ears than rural areas because they are a complex mix of transport noises, factories, industries, machinery, and people. Urban noise, when excessive and continuous, impairs the quality of life in cities. The problem of excess noise has increased due to the imbalance between urban development and the increase in motorized traffic on streets and highways, and therefore the to such noise generated by urban traffic has increased significantly and has been the main responsible for violations of noise patterns and the acoustic comfort of people. This case study work sees you as the main objective to evaluate and discuss noise levels in a very moving road and the repercussions caused by noise pollution. A linear stretch of a road of large circulation of vehicles was chosen for the study, for its variety of uses, such as commercial, residential and services. This route has been the subject of numerous complaints from people who live and/or work in it. After the result of sixteen measurements, at three different times and days, eight on each side of the chosen stretch of the road, it was found that noise levels are above the limits described by the current legislation related to acoustic comfort.

The “No Place” of the elderly person: a criticism to Modernity

In addition to providing longevity, Modernity brought the imposition of productivity and socialization standards. The present study aimed at thinking about the reflexes of Modernity/Coloniality to human aging. It was carried out an exploratory research with a literature review. Conceptual aspects and issues arising from the Modernity/Coloniality crisis were addressed, which indicates a homogenizing epistemology; dilemma about the (non) place of the elderly; and concepts of Transmodernity and decolonial thinking. It was evident that the elderly person is neglected, being seen as a stigmatized subject and prone to suffer from loneliness and rejection, considered useless to productivist mechanisms, which leads to occupy a non-place in society. It is concluded that it is necessary to think and act in the light of Transmodenity and Decoliality, so that a pluriverse look at aging can be glimpsed in order to break with the reflections of Modernity/Coloniality and it emerges the attention to the formulation, implementation and evaluation of concrete actions that enable the exercise of citizenship for the elderly.

Education and Sustainable Development: Social and Universal Rights

Education transforms people's way of thinking and behavior, consequently operating on the processes that cause social and economic development. This development assumes the condition of sustainable when education develops a culture of commitment to the environment. The objective of the research is to identify the relationships between the learning built by the learners during the education process and the contributions to the implementation of sustainable development practices. This is a bibliographic research, based on research in books and articles. The first results of the research were: as a social right, education has the power to raise the level of commitment of individuals to the environment; environmental education is inserted in all areas of human knowledge, because without understanding the role of the environment in the life of living beings, there is no activity capable of enabling sustainability in the construction of the development of a society. It is considered as research conclusions, the need to encourage the appreciation of environmental education from early childhood education and the development of the culture of raising the level of commitment to the environment, because only then will the ethics of care be present in the construction of development sustainable.

Venous Thromboembolism: Importance of Prevention Measures

Introduction: Venous thromboembolism (VTE), including DVT and pulmonary thromboembolism (PTE), these diseases are common among hospitalized patients and can lead to late complications such as chronic pulmonary hypertension (CPH) and chronic venous insufficiency (CVI). Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is the result of thrombus formation in deep veins. It is most common in the lower extremities, but may involve the vena cava, internal jugular vein, and upper extremities. Thrombosis can cause partial or total occlusion of the deep venous system, the most serious direct complication being pulmonary thromboembolism (PTE), which occurs after the detachment of the thrombus and blockage of blood flow in the pulmonary artery, leading to cardiopulmonary events. VTE prevention is appropriate for surgical patients and hospitalized medical patients with limited mobility for three days or more and who have at least one genetic or acquired risk factor for VTE. Methodology: This is an integrative bibliographic review study where articles were searched from the beginning of August 2021 to September 2022, consulting the Research Portal of the Virtual Health Library (BVS), SciELO, LILACS, in their respective indexed databases, under the headings: Venous Thromboembolism and Disease Prevention and Patient Safety. Consistent with the proposed objective of the research, a number of 6 articles were grouped completely directed to the objectives of the study. Results and Discussion: At this first moment, after reading and analyzing the content present in the articles used as a source for this study, it was possible to observe that it is fundamental, even before thinking about performing a thromboprophylaxis, to carry out an evaluation model that allows stratification the risk of patients who are candidates for this procedure, allowing a systematization of this process and a better result as well. Furthermore, based on this information, in order to carry out an evaluation model for patients who are candidates for prophylaxis of thromboembolic events, it is important to take into account three main criteria, which are: hospital admission, transition between sectors and hospital discharge. potential bleeding risk should not be ruled out. In addition, it is important to institute a program related to thromboprophylaxis, but in this case the study refers to the fact of a systematization at the hospital level, as a guideline for the health professionals who work there, so that they can act in a uniform way, regardless of the professional who is in attendance, ensuring better patient care. Conclusion: It is important to point out that, even after the conclusion of the surveys exposed in the present study, there is still no consensus on whether or not to perform procedures whose purpose is thromboprophylaxis.

Monitoring Employers of the Degree in Human and Rehabilitation Acupuncture in the Labor Market

Acupuncture is a therapeutic clinical medical model, a branch of Traditional Chinese Medicine, in which filiform metal needles are used on the surface of the body to balance, prevent, recover and rehabilitate the individual according to NOM - 017 - SSA3 - 2012. In In recent years, in addition to unemployment, a series of distortions have appeared in the labor market for professionals. This work seeks to contribute to the analysis of said market using data from a survey of graduates and employers of said graduates, from a state public university in Mexico. From them, an indicator of relevance in the labor market is designed. The results show that a significant proportion of professionals work in inadequate conditions and that there is great heterogeneity in terms of the situation of said market . OBJECTIVE: To advance in the study of this dimension of relevance by analyzing the labor market for professionals through the integration of a series of characteristics, which in the previously reviewed studies were reflected separately, so that a more complete knowledge of how professionals are inserted into said market and the opinion of their employers, using data from a survey of graduates and employers. METHODOLOGY. Job placement surveys: carried out within the second and fifth year after graduation, designed to characterize the process of job placement, completion of studies and institutional satisfaction. RESULTS A survey was conducted of 15 employers of graduates of the Human and Rehabilitative Acupuncture degree, from the centers that have been hiring LAHR graduates for 10 years, while the response recently refers to a hiring period of less than one year. Our surveyed employers take 95% of academic preparation as a fundamental part of hiring a LAHR graduate. Employers need graduates to have theoretical and practical knowledge of traditional Chinese medicine, followed by knowledge of physical means focused on rehabilitation. Conclusions: According to the respondents, we observed the great need to have an agenda for the graduate clinics, to have a greater number of samples and standardize the suggestions.

Performance analysis of different friction models in the numerical simulation of the isothermal forging process

Finite element analysis is a powerful tool for the design and optimization of mechanical forming processes. To achieve accurate results, a precise knowledge of the fundamental process parameters is required. In this context, this work analyzes the influence of several friction models in the numerical simulation of isothermal forging processes for a commercial aluminum alloy. Using the commercial software FORGE NxT 2.0, the friction models of, Tresca, Coulomb-Tresca and the Viscoplastico(Norton) friction model were considered and their results compared to forging experiments of an axisymmetric geometry. The objective is to evaluate which of these friction models is more appropriate to simulate the process. Hot forging experiments were performed and the most relevant numerical results for the process final geometry, consumed energy, forming strength and temperature were compared with the experimental results.

Sociopathy: The border between Madness and Reality in the Production of Crime

Introduction: The severity of symptoms in individual cases depends on factors such as age of onset, extent and side of brain damage, and rate of progression of the underlying etiology. Integrative Review: Each generation of mental health professionals has to discover for itself the importance of personality disorder. Unfortunately, and unduly, the place of personality and personality disorder in contemporary mental health has either been ignored entirely or employed as another reason to exclude patients from services. Method: The present article is an integrative review based on bibliographic research formulated through published articles on the knowledge and performance of professionals in the concentration area "health" on the subject "Sociopathy". Results: The historical roots of the concepts of abnormal personality, social deviance, delinquency and criminal responsibility are described, demonstrating that previous concepts of psychopathic personality often included negative social evaluations. Discussion: Psychopathy predicts violence and other antisocial conduct in both offenders and psychiatric patients. Furthermore, released psychopathic offenders have an increased risk of recidivism when compared to their nonpsychopathic counterparts. Final Considerations: Specific profiling becomes more refined when collecting evidentiary facts at the crime scene, with the primary goal of a typology of the behavioral characteristics and psychological makeup of the offender.

Street Person: Contextualization of Social Conditions and Public Policies through a Descriptive Review

Introduction: Living on the street is a global problem evidenced in both developed and developing nations, especially in medium and large urban centers. Descriptive Review: The presence of people who make the streets of contemporary metropolises their home is an undeniable reality. In the first half of the 20th century, this phenomenon was intensified in Brazil with the rural exodus and the migratory process, driven by industrial growth. Method: Discussion: Several health problems can be precipitated or worsened by being on the streets: tuberculosis, infestations, foot problems, sexually transmitted diseases, oral health problems, high-risk pregnancy. Results: The consumption of alcohol and other psychoactive drugs and the health and social consequences for both the community and users draw the attention of different segments of society, as it is often related to dependence on these substances and social vulnerability. Final Considerations: Teenage pregnancy has been the focus of health research. Current literature reveals much about the life contexts that lead adolescents to run away from home: victimization, domestic violence, sexual abuse, substance abuse, mental health problems, poverty, restricted social relationships and residential instability are often precursors to life on the streets. among teenagers.

Dimensional Stability Analysis of Different Types of Alginate

Irreversible hydrocolloids, or simply alginates, are the most used molding materials in different areas of dentistry, due to their ease of handling, low cost and good reproducibility. The present work aims to analyze the dimensional stability of different types of alginates at different time intervals. It is applied research, in which its approach was qualitative-quantitative, of an exploratory nature. Three different brands of alginate were used, where a standard dummy was molded and the leakage happened immediately: G1 (n: 10) Hydrogun, G2 (n: 10) Jet Plus and G3 (n: 10) Ava gel. With the digital caliper, the distances were measured and compared with the standard model, the data obtained were tabulated, analyzed using parametric tests and the areas of each model were added. As a result, the area of the standard model was similar in both groups. It is possible to conclude that the type of alginate did not interfere with the distortion of the standard model.

Organomineral fertilization in eucalypt plantations

Organomineral fertilization is a sustainable alternative to the use of mineral fertilizers in forest plantations, promoting stands establishment of high volumetric productivity. This work aimed to evaluate volumetric production of eucalypt under different organomineral fertilization regimes. Four fertilization regimes were tested: three treatments with use of organomineral fertilizers and one with mineral fertilizers. Continuous forest inventory was conducted from 12 to 72 months. Three permanent plots were established for each fertilization regime, totaling 12 sample units. Growth in height, basal area and volume differed between fertilization regimens over age. Treatment that provided the best development in first years of cultivation was not necessarily the one with higher volume production. Biometric estimates were higher with application of organomineral fertilizers. Volumes at 72 months of these treatments ranged from 180 to 192 m3 ha-1. Organomineral fertilization of plantation and cover is an efficient sustainable alternative to obtain high yields in eucalypt crops. Application of only one organomineral cover fertilization favors volumetric production of the clone and reduces interventions in cultivation area.

Understanding the Nurses' Role in Pre-Hospital Care for Patients with Limb Fractures: An Integrative Literature Review

Trauma can be understood as a disease that involves the exchange of energy between the environment and the body, resulting in injuries of varying extent and intensity, which affect different systems and organs. Its occurrence requires that victims in clinical or traumatic situations receive emergency care in the extra-hospital environment. In assessing the victim to identify a possible hemorrhage or fracture, the professional requires prior knowledge of human anatomy and physiology. Thus, this study aims to identify, in the literary bases, the main actions and care adopted by nurses for clients who are victims of trauma with limb fractures. This is an integrative descriptive literary review, in which 10 articles published in the last 5 years were selected, found in BVS, LILACS and GOOGLE SHOLAR, using the keywords: Pre-hospital care; Traffic accident; Trauma; First Aid Nurse and Nursing Care. For the results and discussions, ten publications that met the inclusion criteria were analyzed. It showed that the implementation of protocols in care practices by the nursing team directs the steps in the primary assessment, allowing the pre-hospital care provider to use critical thinking to achieve the best care for each patient. Thus, it is understood by this work approached, that having the knowledge of the main techniques addressed in the health protocols, minimizes the risks of trauma victims, and that the teams can promote safe care to patients, whether they are pre-hospital or not.

Narcissism: In the Mirror I Don't find Myself

Introduction: Enter into the dichotomy perpetrated in the different spaces of psychology construction, understanding that listening to the subject is listening to their dramas and plots, socially and psychically constructed – narcissism. Objective: Clinical listening has to be understood as a social process in which both social and emotional beings have to be taken into account. Emotion brings empirical, rational and even irrational trajectories, many of us live embarrassing experiences in which the subjective is in evidence. Integrative Review: Clinical listening to psychic suffering also needs to be a listening to the individual's social and environmental suffering. Method: The research was based on articles published from 2014 to 2022. Among the articles reviewed there are publications prior to 2016 that were used in the body of the text to build the integrative review taking into account the pioneering spirit and relevance of the authors. Discussion: An archeology of the conditions in which social life is structured is of fundamental importance in verifying that there is currently a loss of effectiveness of protection mechanisms. Final Considerations: The question of the mechanism as a central issue is linked to the need to resort to an examination of the totalities regarding contemporaneity.

Mercury Pollution and Alimentation Change through the Globalization Process in two Amazon River Communities

Background: Excess body weight and metabolic comorbidities represent a risk for the emergence of chronic diseases and premature deaths, a growing phenomenon observed in riverside communities in the Amazon. Methods: The study developed was a descriptive and analytical cohort of the risk factors predisposing to excess body weight in communities of the Tapajós valley region exposed to mercurial contamination. The sample population includes 130 adult individuals from Barreiras and 80 from São Luiz do Tapajós, of both sexes, who agreed to participate in this study. A semi-structured questionnaire was applied to obtain epidemiological and nutritional information, and validated conventional methods were used to evaluate the anthropometric parameters. Results: Total mercury in hair was measured using the atomic absorption spectrometry technique. In both communities, the prevalence of overweight was 60%, and abdominal adiposity among these individuals was higher than in those without overweight. The consumption of fish in the overweight and eutrophic groups in the inhabitants of the community of São Luiz do Tapajós differed, as well as and the average levels of mercury in the hair were higher in those who were overweight. However, this association was not observed in the community of Barreiras, where about approximately 61% of individuals, regardless of body weight, consumed little fish and in turn had low average levels of mercury in their hair. Conclusions: The evidence indicates changes in the eating habits of the studied communities, determining a nutritional imbalance through an increasing body weight gain among individuals, high BMI, and consequently the measurement of abdominal adiposity, which are factors for non-transmissible chronic diseases. Moreover, not only the excessive caloric intake and sedentary lifestyle, but also it is note, that mercurial toxicity must have contributed to affect affecting endocrine homeostasis and the physiology of metabolism; and, therefore, it is essential to seek appropriate interventions to combat public health diseases in communities exposed to mercurial contamination.

Use of Water from Air Conditioning Equipment for Non-Drinking Purposes: A Case Study at the Federal Institute of Pernambuco - Campus Afogados da Ingazeira

Due to population growth and economic development, freshwater consumption is increasing. Several regions of Brazil and the world face one of the biggest water crises, being necessary to create alternatives to avoid the waste of water. In this sense, the use of water from air conditioners is presented as a possible solution to reduce future environmental impacts. The present study aimed to study the feasibility of using non-potable water from air conditioning devices at the Federal Institute of Pernambuco (IFPE) - Campus Afogados da Ingazeira. For this, experimental research was used as a methodology, with an in loco view. Initially, a survey of the parameters that characterize air conditioners was carried out, such as: number of air conditioners per power; operating temperature; and number of hours of operation. Through a carbon dioxide meter model JD-112, the independent variables were collected: power (BTU); internal and external temperature in degrees Celsius (°C); relative indoor and outdoor air humidity in percentage (%); and internal and external carbon dioxide (CO2) in particles per million (p.p.m.). At the same time that this device was making the measurement, a bucket with a storage capacity of 20 liters was placed in the air conditioning drain, thus collecting its dependent variable, the flow in liters per hour. After registering the variables, a statistical inference was carried out with a multiple linear regression model using the least squares method, using the SISREG software (2019), in which a general regression equation was created, which can be estimated through the independent variables the hourly flow rate of condensed water. As a result, the average monthly flow of condensed water was estimated, which generated 38.599 liters, providing an average monthly savings with the cost of treated water at COMPESA of R$ 311,44. With this, the present study clearly demonstrates the great potential of using water from air conditioners, which cannot only be taken into account the economic factor, but associated with the environmental benefit brought by it, which is the basis of its elaboration.

Presence of the Neotropical Otter in the Cubatão do Sul River, Santa Catarina, Brazil

This work represents an analysis of the presence of Lontra longicaudis in the Cubatão River, Santa Catarina, Brazil. The influence that temperature and precipitation can have on the collection of excrements of the species is examined. The composition of the diet is determined by the collected excrement. From 2006 to 2007, 255 feces were collected using rafting boats in the study area, which is characterized by strong rapids and waterfalls. Precipitation and temperature data from January 2006 to September 2007 were obtained. The Kruskal-Wallis test was used to determine the seasonal difference between samples of items consumed by otter. The Chi-square test was used to evaluate the difference between the collected and expected data regarding the temperature and precipitation. The relationship between average monthly temperature and rainfall, and the frequency of occurrence of food items was evaluated using Spearman coefficient. The fish group was the most abundant in the otters diet, representing 70% of the total, followed by crustaceans (23%) and mammals (4%). Birds accounted for 3%. Differences in items consumed by otters in the Cubatão do Sul River were observed between the hottest and coldest months. The number of excrement collected was lower than expected during rainier periods, demonstrating the care that must be taken in research planning. The presence of the otter in the Cubatão River basin can be important for both environmental and economic management of the region, especially as it represents an important source of water for thousands of people.

Climate Change and Sustainable Practices: Telehealth as a Tool for Sharing Indigenous Practices

The use of telehealth is growing as an auxiliary tool for urbanized societies in the propagation of teaching and health care for Indigenous communities. However, little has been discussed regarding the potential applicability as an instrument for the propagation of Indigenous cultural traditions that positively impact the health and well-being of their communities, whose organizational habits influence the containment of climate change, or be it, conditions that favor the global health of the planet. The methodology that was used to choose which practices would be analyzed was based on the systematization carried out in 2019 by the United Nations. Articles published in the last five years were selected in order to ensure that the discussion would be guided by contemporary perspectives. We sought to enumerate some of the consequences that climate change may have for different social groups over the coming few decades and to report the agricultural practices of Brazilian Indigenous peoples, who apply sustainable methodologies in their daily lives, with habits that have been passed down from generation to generation. These practices could be propagated to urbanized industrial communities by means of the multiplication of an original telehealth program created and transmitted by Indigenous peoples, based on their millenary knowledge about sustainable community health.

The Early History of Children from Families Adopting Older Children

Adoption, especially that of older children, still involves barriers and prejudices, being considered a challenge for children, their families and the State. The research presented in this article aimed to find out how families that adopt older children relate to the child's previous life history in the new family configuration. In methodological terms, the study was defined as qualitative and exploratory and had semi-structured interviews, submitted to a content analysis. The results were discussed using five analytical categories that addressed the families' experiences, feelings and conceptions about family life and their children's past history. The picture of suffering involved in situations of violation of children's rights, family destitution, institutionalization and the challenges present in the process of building a new family configuration were observed. Respondents understand the importance of welcoming, recognizing and dialoguing about the child's past history, both for the child's development and for the formation of family bonds, even if it is painful for everyone and that it is not always easy to implement. With a perspective of overcoming, no family understands the consequences of the past as irreparable for the future of children, recognizing themselves as vehicles for a new beginning for their children.

Assessment of the Health Territorialization Process: Family Health Strategy Team in Marabá-PA

Introduction: In Brazil, territorialization has been used in public policies through different public instruments that promote social improvement or protection. These territorialized policies seek articulation between the various national, state and municipal spheres, with specific programs and actions built on territorial bases, the main example being the SUS. The ESF acts as a new basis for intersectoral articulations, due to the greater proximity of professionals with the population and the interactions in the territory covered, allowing the verification of problems that affect the health-disease process. Objective: To evaluate the territorialization of the population that make up the microregions that is covered by Family Health Strategy Teams in the municipality of Marabá-PA. Methodology: This is a descriptive, analytical study with a quantitative approach of the situational health reports of the Family Health Strategy teams in the municipality of Marabá-PA. Results and Discussion: In 2022, so far, it has a coverage of 36%, so we can say that the primary care of the municipality is undergoing a transition process, due to this, the ascription of the population is also evolving. Currently, the city of Marabá-PA is made up of 24 Health Units, 14 in the urban area and 10 in the rural area. Conclusion: The process of territorialization in this health team is hampered by the transition of health systems, making it difficult to create the profile of the enrolled population. In addition, the data evaluated demonstrated the importance of the presence of primary health care in order to achieve the universal coverage that the SUS advocates, improving health indicators.

Effects of Breastfeeding in Conjunction with the Skin-to-Skin Contact Method During Calcaneus Puncture

Newborns undergo an average of 8 to 17 painful procedures per day. Among these interventions, we can highlight calcaneal puncture, which is normally used to perform the heel prick test. To reduce the sensation of pain, there are several non-pharmacological methods, including skin-to-skin contact and breastfeeding. Considering this, this study aims to analyze behavioral and physiological effects and the response to pain among newborns who received maternal breastfeeding and skin-to-skin contact during calcaneal puncture with those who were exposed to this procedure without using these measures. pharmacological. This is a descriptive study, with a quantitative approach, of an experimental-interventional nature. Data collection was carried out in an outpatient clinic of medical specialties, in a municipality located in the interior of the state of Minas Gerais, between September and October of the year 2021. A pain assessment scale was used for newborns. who underwent the calcaneal puncture procedure for blood collection to perform the heel prick test. In total, 12 newborns participated in this study. By analyzing the data obtained, we can conclude that skin-to-skin contact and breastfeeding during painful procedures proved to be efficient in some cases. Although the sample was small, this study had positive implications for those involved, such as understanding by the mother and health professionals regarding the benefits offered by breastfeeding and skin-to-skin contact during the Guthrie test.
