This paper discusses the nature of logistics and their evolution based on technological innovation in industry 4.0 environment and seeks to relate to the future logistics transition models. It proposes a typology for logistics operations based on technological innovation in five dimensions. The objective is to show how this typological development can provide a useful approach for the integration of the various aspects of technology as a pillar of sustainability in a company operation. |
