Abstract:

The objective was to identify the necessary care for the safe fixation during the transflight of the patient from 0 to 14 years old in aeromedical service of rotary wing aircraft. Method: integrative literature review. Data collection took place in the databases: Medical Literature Analysis and Retrieval System Online, Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied, Scopus, Latin American and Caribbean Literature in Health Sciences, Embase; Nursing Database and Scientific Electronic Library Online, using the Health Sciences and Medical Subject Headings descriptors: “Air ambulance,” “Air medical service,” “Pediatric patient,” “Helitransported,” “Emergency helicopter,” “ Air rescue,” “Pre-hospital emergency care” From June/July 2022. Inclusion criteria: articles available in full in English, Portuguese and Spanish, from 2010 to 2022. Publication in annals, reports were excluded of experience and texts from graduation course completion works. Results: 412 studies were found, after applying the criteria, the final sample comprised four articles, where the thematic categories emerged: characteristics of pediatric scene flights as well as the procedures performed; transport epidemiology and qualification and training of professionals who work in pediatric emergency services. Final considerations: there is a need for production in the literature addressing the fixation of the pediatric patient in the transflight on a rotary wing after the rescue. Information and concern about the transfer of pediatric patients reinforce the importance of training professionals to provide safe care.
