Abstract: |
Alcohol consumption is a prehistoric habit. There is archaeological evidence of its use in celebrations, rites or simple crowds of individuals. With the civilizing process, the consumption of alcoholic beverages was incorporated into acceptable social standards. Several scholars have concluded that alcohol is the substance most linked to behavioral changes caused by psychopharmacological effects that result in violence. Despite all the empirical evidence that reveals that alcohol is the most significant substance in the articulation with different forms of violence. The focus of this work is to know the scenario of alcohol consumption (beer) and violence in Guajará-Mirim. Thus, this paper aims to analyze the correlation between the consumption of alcoholic beverages in Guajará-Mirim, through the survey of the volume marketed by the existing distributors in the city, in relation to drug trafficking, theft, traffic accidents and physical aggression. The research method was inductive. The methodology was based on primary research to survey field data at Guajará-Mirim neighborhood level and secondary research to build the theoretical and methodological basis. The result shows a high positive correlation between the consumption of alcoholic beverages (beer) and some aspects of violence studied, which is consistent with other studies in this line of approach. |
